Microbit V1 not working with Thonny IDE

When I Try to connect to the Microbit V1 it says “Couldn’t find the device automatically.
Check the connection (making sure the device is not in bootloader mode) or choose
“Configure interpreter” in the interpreter menu (bottom-right corner of the window)
to select specific port or another interpreter.” Any tips?

I can see that many people saw the same error message with Raspberry Pi Pico.
Some solved it by reinstalling Thonny, some pressed the BOOTSEL button. Don’t know which will work for Microbit V1.

Good to know that it worked. I have bought a Pico recently. Need to start with Thonny soon.
