New video by Michael; The Factory | How To Align Components for a NeoDen K1830 Pick & Place Machine

In this weeks The Factory episode, we cover the component alignment workflow on our PNP setup. Correct alignment is paramount to a smooth-running PCB assembly process. In this episode of The Factory, we share our component alignment workflow and give you a peek at how the NeoDen K1830 software works.

There’s some 1000fps footage in the mix as well

Hi Michael, Thanks for posting this video. I’m struggling with two issues with my Neoden 10. Larger IC placement are placed on the PCB 1 degree off (radially), meaning Components are only 1 degree rotated off center rotation but it’s causing pad misalignment on my TQF 100 IC. I’ve tried playing around with pick brightness to no avail. I’ll bring up the second issue later. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you.

Hey @Haim242694 - welcome to the forums
It does sound like there’s something funny going on with optical recognition. We haven’t experienced this so there’s not much I could suggest that you haven’t already tried.
One thought that comes to mind - is it possible the inertia of the part is causing it to slip and rotate on the nozzle just before placement?

Perhaps it’s time to contact Neoden service@neodentech.com

Hi @Michael . Thanks for the feedback.
