You can see in these pictures the internals are exposed through that slit risking short circuits.
What is the point of that? seems dangerous.

I’d love to use a tool to turn these, but maybe one that doesn’t risk short circuiting.
Any ideas? Plastic screw drivers? Paddle pop sticks? Philips head?

Something like this?

That’s what I was looking for!!
Thanks

Having a look at these Pots in person the white plastic is quite deep so if you were using a Philips bit to turn it there shouldn’t be any issues with contacting the internals.

If you were using a flat head to change it you could possibly touch the internals but you will only be able to touch the wiper leg of the pot.
That being said if you had 50V on the wiper that would be passed through to the screwdriver.

I’m mostly worried about damaging the equipment.
I don’t seem to have quite the right philips to turn these.
@Aaron does CE sell something similar to Jeff’s recommendation?

We currently don’t have anything similar in our catalogue unfortunately. The closest thing we have is a littleBits screwdriver though its probably a touch small for this application.

Hi Pix
Jaycar used to sell this kind of thing but I can’t see anything in their catalog. That does not mean much as you would have to know exactly what they are described as. Best to go and have a look if you have a store handy.
Cheers Bob
