Hi, regarding the ESP32 Dev board (SKU: CE10242), do you have a suitable breakout board? Can you please specify the SKU of this product? Thank you very much

By breakout board, I’m referring to a preassembled terminal block that is compatible with SKU:19242, similar to SKU: ADA2926, but compatible with the ESP32 Dev Board.

I don’t see a reference to the break out board in the description.

Hi Hurc

Sorry, I misread that. I thought you were referring to the actual ESP32 board which is the subject of this post. The SKU is actually in the title.
It is apparent you are asking for the SKU of any breakout board available.
I have had a bit of a look and I don’t think one has been made yet. Core don’t have one and “Unexpected Maker” don’t seem to have one on their web site.

If you are after quick connections you can easily change the best I can suggest would be female socket strips but there will be some soldering involved as there would be with a breakout board. Use pre made connection leads with male pins already fitted for experimental work.

All good Robert
Yeh it doesnt look like one has been made, I agree.

I’ll just solder up my own breakout board onto a PCB with headers.

Heya, @Hurc259420, and welcome to the forum.

Unfortunately, I think you’re right, there doesn’t appear to be any breakout boards for the ProS3 as far as can be seen. I would presume that because the Unexpected Maker is a smaller company there’s just not as much third party designers that utilise the board.

Thanks for getting back to me Jane,
I appreciate your input.

Honestly I’m a little surprised that you expect that there should be a breakout board for each possible development board. There may be one suitable, but it would have been designed for a board with bigger market share. You should check the width, number of pins, and the pinout - and I would also be careful to check these if using the ADA2926 with Unexpected Maker’s ESP32-S3 Feather.

With my ESP32-S3 dev board I found that standard breadboard was nowhere wide enough (left only 1 row on one side and 2 rows on the other side) - but I found Makerverse Protoboard which is appreciably wider.

At one level, the CE10242 is the breakout board, containing the ESP32 chip, electronics for related functions, and bringing the signals out to convenient pins … which you can connect via breadboard or make your own breakout for only the pins you are actually using.

Hi All,

It’s been on my list for a little while now, but a DIY protoboard that allows for rows of headers to be soldered on, or terminal blocks - whatever your heart desires, it would be a kind of multi-use breakout board.

Similar to a breadboard up the top (extra wide), maybe some single tie point connections down the bottom, a mix of everything for any project
