I recently bought an RPi 5 and the waveshare 8 channel relay board. So far I love it but if you are in contact with waveshare their instructions for testing the board don’t quite work with the RPi 5. Changes to packages for the GPIO’s etc on the 5 being the issue. I did the usual multiple hits at it before I got things working so this might not cover all that was needed but might be a good starting point. https://forums.raspberrypi.com/viewtopic.php?t=361218
