Using the MOSFET Power Switch Module (CE09733)

Hello. I’m aiming to use this module to control a LED module with a RPi Pico. The LED module draws 700mA at 24VDC. I’m a bit confused by the product diagram though (below). For low-side switching I would have thought the load’s ground would go to the input of the MOSFET module, and the output of the MOSFET module would go to ground. But the diagram shows + and - for both load and supply. Could someone please point me to an example of connecting this module?

Hi Daryl.
Welcome
What a way to start. That is one of the worst product descriptions I have seen.
I for one would like to see a schematic before I commented.
I think someone reversed engineered this thing and published a schematic somewhere on the Forum but I don’t remember the circumstances now.

Thanks Bob. I worked out where I went wrong; I had incorrectly connected both the load -ve and supply -ve to ground, so the lamp was always on. All good now.

Hi Daryl,

Did you work out this Mofset at all ??? I’m a very ametaur hack at electronics and learning by example but cannot work out how to connect this this at all. If the above schematics are wrong, I have no hope. Any assistance or working example you might be able to share would really be appreciated.

Hi Craig
As I understand it this is how the switching works

As Daryl said he connected both load negative and supply negative to ground thus effectively shorting the switch and his load (lamp) was always ON.

Hi Craig. The diagram at the top of the post is not wrong; I just found it easy to misunderstand :-). Bob’s figure shows how to interpret it. Once I hooked it up properly it works fine.
