I’m a dreaming inventor, after 20 years in careers that had no business being my career I’ve made the jump and now have an thirst to see my ideas turn into real inventions.
Right now, I’m working on a little project.
Using a raspberry pi 5, i need to understand what are the best core components to buy for the following;
Camera, Microphone, cooling system, power, speaker and screen.
This invention will also be tracking my movement via the camera and using that information to do what i require of it. assuming this is some form of IR tech?
These will ultimately be built into a case I’m 3d printing, so i need the parts before i start building the printing the casing.
Sorry if i’ve missed anything, thanks in advance for your help
A lot of these will depend on exactly what you need this project for?
For instance, with your camera, what do you need? Are you after a simple camera that can function as a webcam or are you after something more high quality. Raspberry Pi has options for both of those needs.
So if you could let us know what your use case would be, we will be able to offer you some good recommendations.
Surely you can do a search of Core’s catalog and find out the most expensive products ?
There is no such thing as a generic “best”. What is best for your project will depend on several factors which you failed to mention.
To be blunt (since I’m not a Core employee), your message shows that you haven’t given much thought to what you are trying to achieve, and how it will do that. Expect to do a lot of research, learning as you go, through several versions. You may find that the product already exists.
Actually they are two different technologies. As a possible alternative to IR, I suggest you have a look at Jaryd’s mmWave sensor video.
