How about somewhere to collect YouTube recommendations?
Mr Carlson’s Lab is rather intriguing here and there, as he restores all sorts of old kit… It would be great if he could be a bit snappier with his editing though.
FranLab is similar, although Fran is a bit more of a character, and likes to go on occasional tangents beyond working on electronics… She mostly does teardowns of interesting old tech, particularly various displays.
Technology Connections is excellent - Alec is an increasingly droll ‘on-the-spectrum’ type, supplying a steady stream of deep dives into all kinds of tech; he started close to a decade ago on the light bulb, phonograph, and so on, explained the minutiae of TV and VCRs along the way, and really enjoys properly getting his nerd on for his large audience.
And of course everybody knows Big Clive. What other channels do you folks watch?
Hi Kimmo
Be a bit careful of You Tube and don’t take everything you see as Gospel.
There is a lot of good information on there and also a lot of absolute garbage. It is up to you to filter the useful and the not so useful (useless or dangerous???).
Cheers Bob
Hi All
If the rest are anything like the human body resistance one pictured I would not recommend trying anything this bloke published.
If anyone tried any of these appliance running experiments at home they would probably finish up in the morgue awaiting cremation, burial or something.
Downright bloody dangerous and should not allow to be published. Plain stupid is being a kind description to this sort of thing
Cheers Bob
I’m pretty sure he tries to attract some of the audience who are gullible enough to get sucked into the stuff he warns about. I reckon his entertaining persona would hook a few of them well enough to get the message through.
Disney has a video where they show off their Imagineers training these robots to walk so its great seeing a much more accessible approach to it conveyed as well.
