So, I set a couple of these up via the easy route of mating them up with matching Seeed Studio XIAO ESP32-C3 modules in order to install ESPHome on them and join them into my Home Assistant network.

The ESPHome LD2410 Component/Hub page is what you need to get all the data flowing, with just one little kink. You need to remember that it’s the daughterboard you are configuring when setting up the uart: block, so you need to set the TX and RX pin numbers from that perspective, opposite to what is shown on the Hardware Overview diagram provided.

uart:
  parity: NONE
  stop_bits: 1
  baud_rate: 256000
  tx_pin:
    number: GPIO5
  rx_pin:
    number: GPIO4

Hi @Politas

That would make sense, the code that you’re inputting there is for the microcontroller, its TX pin needs to go to the RX pin of the sensor and vice versa, for the RX to TX pins.

I have paired one of these up with a XIAO MG24 with some (simple) Zigbee firmware to create a powered “occupancy” sensor that doubles as a range extender for Home Assistant.
These sensors are excellent! I’ll be adding more “features” as time permits.
