I’m wondering if 3-in-1 Waterproof USB Endoscope Inspection Camera (FIT0819) requires an app to be used connected to OTG capable mobile phone?
I just tested this with a recent Android phone, and neither factory or third-party camera apps (built into messaging apps) recognised the camera as an option when “flipping” to the other camera.
USB support isn’t a “mandatory camera feature” (PackageManager | Android Developers) so phone support is flaky, but there are libraries around:
GitHub - jiangdongguo/AndroidUSBCamera: 🔥🔥🔥Flexible and useful UVC camera engine on Android platform, supporting multi-road cameras!
Unfortunately this library only seems to get turned into crappy, ad-filled apps on the Play store, but some people have had success with conferencing apps like Zoom or Skype, just to display the video or send it elsewhere
I’d imagine the right app would fix this though, as this camera was recognised by my W10 PC immediately with no special software required.
Hope this helps!
Thanks heaps for getting back to me, really appreciate it.
