Looking at an Ultimate GPS hat or the breakout version. I need PPS and to connect to pin 12 on the GPIO on the Rpi , it says in the info the hat version PPS is connected to Pin 4 ? Can this be changed ? Want to create an accurate time server

From Adafruit Learn’s instructions, Adafruit Ultimate GPS HAT for Raspberry Pi`, looks like probably not. Here it shows the instructions to modify the kernel to handle PPS on Pin 4. They specifically state that the HAT uses Pin 4, which to my mind that would mean pin configuration is non optimal.
