CAN to UART converter

G’day,

I’m looking to get a CAN to UART converter that works with Ford FG Falcon. I’m hoping to use Alpine Halo 9 audio system and the CANUART feature on this audio allows display of HVAC info on the screen.

I’m also happy to look at any other solutions you may recommend to upgrade to a coloured screen display on the car.

Hi Ian,

Seems like this is what you’re looking for, you’ll need to make sure your DB9 interface can supply 3.3V-5V power to the shield, as it’s usually powered by a microcontroller strapped to the bottom:
