CNC Help (I want to see it Run)

@Aidan Didn’t know how else to reach out to you. Let me know if you still need some help with the CNC machine you mentioned to me at the Ardunio night a few weeks back.

Thanks Colin

Hey @Colydog

Thanks for posting, I’ll get this on track now!

Hey Colin,
Thanks for posting up, It’d be great if you’ve got any advice. I have this CNC Lathe and when it gets to a certain point on the X-axis it stops moving. I have no idea what’s going on with it. I have been trying to make chess pieces with the lathe. The first 4 or 5 where great the they started coming out at different sizes, upon inspection i discovered the x axis was skipping then found a broken sensor on the machine. I replaced and broke that sensor (boilermaker by trade), so i got a fitter to help replace that sensor and we reassembled machine. This has taken place over 3 years. Got the machine running used jogging wheel to make sure every thing is working as it should be and the x axis (sounds like me getting to my feet, a lot of groaning and not much moving) i have oiled everything but after my air cut test i used a piece of plastic stock (25mm) to see if the machine would still work amid all the groaning i then noticed that the bloody thing was still moving erratically on the x axis. Will try and add another video.

Here’s a link to few videos of it happening, although you can’t see much. i think the 2nd 2 are a better quality.
