This is a placeholder topic for “DB9 Serial RS232 OBD2 Cable” comments.
OBD II is an On-Board Diagnostics standard that is used on a large variety of cars. It provides access to numerous data from the engine control unit (ECU) and offers a valuable source of information when troubleshooting problems inside a vehicle. This is an OBD-II to DB9 cable, which allows you to access your car’s OBDII connector.
My company bought this cable yesterday. Connected it direct to a redboard CAN-BUS Shield, But when start engine, many cluster lights start to illuminate and not stop. Is this cable’s DB9 PIN map compatible with redboard CAN-BUS shield’s DB9 interface? Are there any other parts I need?
@ree81638 Check out the info on this page:
Particularly part 6 “Jumpers” where it refers to the jumper settings to match the OBD to DB9 cable
Thanks. But I even cannot find part 6 “Jumpers” in your link.
