'Exploring Arduino' project book components

Hi,
I’m going to start working through some projects in the ‘Exploring Arduino’ book by Jeremy Blum. I’ve made up a cart with all the parts I could find in the store but there were a few I couldn’t find. I’d appreciate any help finding compatible parts to round out the set. Missing parts listed below.
Kind Regards,
Nathan.

Adafruit METRO 328 Fully Assembled - Arduino IDE compatible - ATmega328 PID: 50

Through-Hole Resistors - 220 ohm 5% 1/4W - Pack of 25
— 220 ohm 5% 1/4W - Pack of 25 —

Hi Nathan
If you are having trouble Jaycar will have most of these.
Resistors. 5% 1/4W seem to have been replaced by 1% 1/2W metal film types these days but in theory are better anyway.
Photo resistor. Should have a selection of these
Motor driver. Both Core and Jaycar would have a selection. The L393D is just the on board IC that does the work.
Power adaptor. Does not have to be 1A, more will be OK, like 2A
Metro 328. Arduino UNO Rev3 or similar would do. The Atmega 328 is the on board IC that does the work.
Rover chassis. Have no idea but with the number of robot projects around should not be too hard to find an equivalent.
Cheers Bob

Hi Nathan,

Welcome to the forum

As Bob has pointed out the METRO 328 can be substituted with the Uno R3 which uses the same microcontroller chip.

The photocell is available here:

The h-bridge is found here:

Here is an Australian plug version of that plugpack:

We have kits that contain both of those values of resistors in this category:

The rover is a little bit harder as neither Adafruit or Core have stock of it.
We have generic rover chassis listed in a category here:

Ultimately what features you want your rover to have and how you want to control it matter the most as far as a suitable replacement go.

Thanks Guys!
I’ve added the updated components.
I found the rover body kit at pakronics.
It seems that the ADA807 is out of stock. I have found elsewhere.

Kind Regards,
Nathan.
