Hi there ,
I have a Flashforge Inventor II SE. All was going well untill it ran out of filament during a print.
I am now unable to load filament. The bore seems clean down to the hot end.
I am trying to remove the motor to check for filament stuck in the hot end, In the videos I have seen like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNvy85zUBIQ the motor comes out easily when the 2 front screws are removed. Mine does not, it seems jammed tight.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Steve
Heat the nozzle before attempting any disassembly. Cold filament jams can lock extruder components together tightly. Release the extruder tension arm completely before pulling. Check carefully for hidden screws behind covers or stickers. Do not pry forcefully on the motor assembly.
Warm filament often behaves like glue inside heat breaks. Gently twist the motor while pulling straight outward. Hold the heater block carefully using pliers if needed. Inspect drive gears for packed filament debris afterward. Also inspect the PTFE tube for melted filament swelling.

Thanks,
Unfortunately none of that worked. The motor is stuck, at least to any reasonable application of force.
Maybe I will get back to it one day.
As Bilby does not service these any more I went to Jaycar and bought an Elegoo Centauri Carbon.
Hopefully, that will last a while.
