Basically the title. I’m looking for a dual push button that has a default state of close for 1 and 2, and open for 3 and 4. When I push that button it will reverse (open for 1 and 2 and close for 3 and 4). I don’t know what terms to search for to look for this in the market. It’s dual pole, but not double throw I don’t think.
I can also just make this myself, but was hoping if there was one already out there
Cheers

Hi Khang
Yes . The long panel mount types with 4 contacts.
A quick look shows Jaycar have a push button DPDT switch that can be wired to do wha you want. Cat no SP0734.
There are plenty go others.

Yes, a DPDT switch will work. Here’s an extract from the Jaycar datasheet for the SP0714 but I’ve added your pin numbering in red.

Thank you both, especially Peter! I didn’t know how to hook up the DPDT to achieve that until I saw your diagram. I kept thinking “both will share the same state always” until I realize I can swap the way the 2nd pair is hooked up so they’ll have opposite states
Cheers!

A continuity test with a multimeter would clarify that. I assumed that “DPDT” would be explanation enough. You do know how to do that with a multimeter don’t you?
Cheers Bob
I would not have posted that Jaycar info if the switch would not do the job.
