Hi There, I’m looking to purchase the “Load Cell - 200kg, S-Type (TAS501)” and I wanted to know whatelse I need to buy to connect it to my arduino? I can do the basics with arduino but I haven’t work with load cells before. Just trying to read values from the load cell when I weight is placed on top of it
Not a problem, load cells are relatively easy to set up.
What you’ll need first is a Load Cell Amplifier to amplify the electrical signal into the digital signal the Arduino reads like the one below. Some soldering will be required to assemble it.:
From there, connecting it to the Arduino and flashing the code is pretty simple. Here is a guide that explains the principles quite well (just ignore the terrible soldering job they did. Use the screw terminals, it will make everything so much cleaner)
