Logic Level Converter Bi-Directional (CE07510)

I’ve tried researching but I still don’t understand why I need to power the board with two voltage sources. As far as I understand it, the purpose of the LLC is to use one voltage source (battery or ac power adapter) and convert it to the other voltage as required by the other device? Can anyone please help explain this? Thank you

Hi Todd
If you read this thread back a bit to May 2022 and look at Liam’s link you will see this

Should be self explanatory. The low and high side voltages have to come from somewhere. They will not just appear.

PS: You may be thinking about the wrong thing. This is a converter to change 3.3V logic signals to 5V logic signals and vice versa.
You may be thinking about a buck or boost converter which will convert down or up from a higher or lower voltage like a battery or other source where only the source voltage is required.

Hi @Mark275,

I currently don’t have a timeline for the Pimoroni PGA2350.

It’s still early days for the RP2350 chip and there are lots of new and updated boards coming out.
Best to keep your eye on the store for new products.

Thank you Aaron!

Shall do.

Cheers MG
