New video by Michael; The Factory | Troubleshooting Reflow In PCB Manufacturing

New video! Off the back of our first large-scale production of Pico Expansion boards, we noticed an unusual and consistent failure mode in some boards. This week in The Factory we do some hardware troubleshooting and try to find the culprit.

    Hi Michael
Interesting soldering problem. You would have to consider the possibility that all the units which have “passed” will have a problem with the same connection. The resistor may well have been making contact when it was tested but then fail after purchase. Not exactly life threatening but inconvenient and not a good look

I think it would be a good idea and less embarrassing to check and re solder all the boards that have “passed” and hold up release until this problem has been fixed. The alternative would be to re solder this point on ALL boards manually.
