I am having issues with installing the PiJuice software. I run the “sudo apt-get install pijuice-gui” and then reboot. The battery icon in the system tray does not appear and the PiJuice shortcuts do not go anything. I am running bookworm on the pi. Does anyone have any thoughts on what is going on or how I can diagnose it further?
Would you be able to tell us more about how your system responds after you run sudo apt-get install pijuice-gui. Hopefully, the output from this command will tell us more about how the install went and may point towards the cause of this issue.
Thanks. I have run the command, and I get the following saying that it was already installed correctly
pi@mmdavid:~ $ sudo apt-get install pijuice-gui

pijuice-gui is already the newest version (1.8).

What Pi was it you were using with the PiJuice hat? If you’re using a Pi4 there appears to be an issue with the install that sounds similar to what you’re experiencing, you may have some success following the steps from this GitHub thread
I am running a Pi4B, I have tried following the instructions on Pi Juice Failed to execute on new install · Issue #1000 · PiSupply/PiJuice · GitHub as I could not get it working. I have also posted there as well for assistance as the solution did not work for me. But I could be the problem not understanding the technical jargon that people who understand Linux.
