Hi ive recently got into home automation and come across this pressure sensitive conductive sheet and im looking for a device i can put into a bed to tell if someones in or out to automate lights ive come across this. would this get the job done also what kind of wiring would this need to connect to a z wave relay ?

Hey @Tim52602,

This product would definitely let you know if someone was applying pressure to it. With regard to the Z wave relay, it is something that I’m not familiar with so I wouldn’t be able to comment on the circuitry needed.

Is there a datasheet for this product? How would one know what its sensitivity is and how to relate the change in resistance to a pressure value i.e. transfer function?

I am specially interested in its range, I need to measure small loads.

Cheers.
