Product Difference Mega 2560 and Genuino Mega 2560

Hi guys,

Is the “Genuino Mega 2560” the based on the “Mega 2560” but with additional capacity/capability. The technical specs don’t provide a side-by-side comparison table so its difficult to make the comparison on line. What do you get for the extra dollars?

Hi Tim,

Perhaps the most important element; you’re supporting the origin creators by buying the real-deal, along with their future innovations.

Everything else (quality etc) scales as you see with the pricing. So if that’s important to you, along with proportional quality etc, then grab the Arduino-made board.

Both are made using the open source Mega R3 design.
