Well done. You beat me to the same project I was planning to do 10 years ago. First, I’m going to build a whole new letter / parcel box. Will need solar on top and battery of course and wifi to avoid cables. I’m running out of telephone cable but definitely useful in other projects. Thinking of adding a hidden camera as well. If you have any new ideas on what a high tech DIY letterbox should have, don’t hesitate to let me know. I was retrenched in 2016 and will turn 72 in July. Ex Santos Comms technician, Moomba, S.A. Hi Jim. I started off with a battery and intended to add a solar panel but for me the cabled solution was the easiest
