Just wondering how long the shaft is on the Quartz clock mechanism?

Welcome to the forum!

The shaft is 23mm from the absolute top to the deck at the base, the threaded section is 14.2mm

I need a thread length of 5-8mm to use with 2mm acrylic clocks, will this product be suitable? If not, do you have any short shaft clock mechanism kits available?

Hi Wendy
Fit a second nut and you can adjust the position to wherever you want.
The size is possibly the same as some potentiometer or similar nuts. Jaycar and the like used to have packets of this sort of thing but I don’t know about these days. The other way is to measure the thread size and I am sure there would be something available.
