RTC for AZ-Touch Pi Zero - Wall Mounting Touchscreen Set

I’ve been looking at the AZ-Touch Pi Zero - Wall Mounting Touchscreen Set (SKU: CE08527).

I want (need?) to add a RTC to it but am having problems working out which RTC module to get just by looking at the pictures.

The DS1307 RTC Module for Raspberry Pi (SKU: DFR0386) is not physically suitable because of the header.

I am assuming that I will need to wire the RTC in on the AZ-Touch breadboard section.

Can you advise which RTC module I should order

Hey there, @scott40123, and welcome to the forum. Glad to have you here,

Honestly, any RTC Module, including the DS1307, will do you well here. It’s a bit hard to see from the pictures, but all of the Pi’s GPIO pins are broken out onto the PCB, which means you can easily solder simple Pi circuits to the board. The closest image I could find showing this would be this one, where you can see the broken out 5V, 3.3V, Gnd, and VIn:

If you wanted to use the DS1307 RTC Module for Raspberry Pi, you’d just need to use some hook-up wire to connect directly to the UART TX, RX, Gnd, 3.3V pins from these broken out GPIOs.
