LED LCD IPS display suffers a lot of degradation in long-term storage even without use? I have a handheld console with these displays
Degradation can be minimized by using correct storage procedures.

these options here my house the temperature varies from 32-35C rarely 36C I keep the device box inside a closed shoe box I don’t store it inside bags
but humidity varies 57-67%

It sounds like you’re mostly following the correct storage procedures outlined by the link @Jeff105671 sent.
Unfortunately, components do wear out and degrade with time. Even with trying our best to preserve them, they will eventually fail.
For the console, I’d recommend using it while it’s still in good condition and enjoy it.
If components fail you can always try to dee if replacement parts are available to fix it yourself.
