We’re looking for a rugged touch screen (with or without built in computer) needs to be something that will work with gloves.
The one we currently use has a broken digitizer from abusive users.

Welcome back 
Since it has to work with gloves(performance will also vary based on the glove) that would lock your selection into resistive touchscreens.
I’d have a look at ‘industrial HMI’ on Google to get something both made to last and something that might work with a range of gloves.
