Hi Just purchased a ADA997 soliniod to run my home built Rotary Drum filter. At present I run a 12 volt caravan water pump through my switch. Can I connect the soliniod directly to my 12 volt car battery through my switch or do I need a 12v 1 amp adapter. Thanks for your help.

Providing the solenoid has at least 350mA to draw, it will be fine to use directly with that 12V source.
