Hi, Does anybody know how you would actually install this with a washing machine to allow a charge per use? Would appreciate any ideas

The coin acceptor works over a serial connection. That is when a coin has been programmed into the acceptor, it will output the value of that coin via a serial connection. I would attach the coin collector to an Arduino UNO which would add the value of the coins and when enough coins were added sent a signal to your washing machine.
