Hi

Just seeing if this coin mechanism, SKU.COM-11636, will work with $2 coins?

And if the mechanism has to be programmed for particular coins?

Thanks

Simon

Hi Simon,

Yes, it will work with $2 coins. You program them by feeding it samples of the coins you want it to recognise, and then it outputs a signal you can hook into your projects when a coin is inserted.

Here’s the direct link to the guide for you:

Thanks Oliver
Just wanted to make sure before I purchased it.

Thanks again.

Simon

No worries, just let us know if you have any other queries

This might sound silly but relatively new at This coin mech repair, wondering once you program the coins how do you get the machine or mech to recognise what equals a credit for gameplay so if it is $1 a play and you put 5 20c etc or a single coin so a credit is registered

It’ll depend on your machine. You might need a microcontroller in the middle - like an arduino - to covert whatever the coin acceptor outputs to something the machine recognises.

Thanks for the reply So does that mean the machine is already preprogrammed to a certain denomination in order to register a credit ? It’s second hand machine btw

Nah that’s: I don’t know - you’ll have to test it
