Compatibility Duinotech Uno with Sparkfun MP3 Player

I have a Duinotech Arduino Starter kit from Jaycar and looking to purchase Sparkfun MP3 player shield triggered by a motion sensor to play an audio file. Is the Sparkfun MP3 player shield compatible with (work) the Duinotech Uno board outlined in the above kit and is it connectable using stackable header pin connectors?

Duinotech is just an Arduino Uno clone, so should be compatible with the MP3 Player Shield, and the example code ought to work.

Thanks Michael. I will be connecting the MP Player shield via the audio output to speakers with a built in amplifier. Do you know what specs the speaker/amplifier needs to have to do this? Many thanks.
