Flex Cable for Raspberry Pi Camera - 1 metre (ADA2143)

This is a placeholder topic for “Flex Cable for Raspberry Pi Camera - 1 metre” comments.

This cable will let you swap out the stock 150mm long flex cable from a Raspberry Pi Camera (either ‘classic’ or ‘NoIR’ type) for a different size. Works great, just carefully open the connector on the Pi and slip this one in.

Do you know if this cable is compatible with the Arducam cameras?

Hi Clyde,

Welcome to the forum

Looks like the Arducam uses the same type of ribbon cable as the official Raspberry Pi cameras so that flex cable should be fine.

There is a limit to long you can go with ribbon-style cables before they get too much interference from electrical noise and voltage drop along the length of the cable. So this cable is pretty well approaching the limit in most environments.

Thanks, Trent.

I’ll try and position the camera to be as close as practicable.

Hi Clyde,

How did you get on with the Arducam project? Were you able to get a signal or was the cable run too long for a wired connection?
