This 4-conductor, 12 cm (4.5") cable has 24 AWG wires and a 4-pin female JST PH-type connector (2mm pitch) on one end. The other ends of the wires are…
The connector is referred to several times as “JST PH-style connector”.
Is this the A205 series connector which is used by Seeed Studio for their Grove cables, or something else similar ?
There is a company called Japanese Solderless Terminal, who make, well, solderless terminal connectors to the JST standard: SH, PH, XH, etc. But those standards are really handy, so they’re often copied. A lot, so often that JST standard has kind of escaped the orbit of the company and just become shorthand for a standard.
In this PH* identifies the 2 mm-pitch family. “PH-style” means the connector follows that format, but doesn’t guarantee the component itself was manufactured by JST. For this cable, the connector is a 4-pin, 2 mm PH-compatible housing BUT it won’t mate with the A205-style connector used by Grove, which uses a different proprietary housing.
