Mini motor for Paper motor art

I am running workshops with young kids on how to make a circuit. I am looking for mini motors that can be used with copper tape and a 3V battery pack. I follow MoonShotz Kids and she uses something but is American and I can’t seem to find something in Australia.

You could try searching for “3V DC hobby motors” or “130 mini motors” from electronics stores in Australia. They work well with copper tape circuits and small battery packs for kids’ workshops.

I’ve also seen people use motors from places like Jaycar, Core Electronics, or even small STEM learning kits on Amazon AU. Just make sure the motor can run on 3V and has simple terminals that are easy to connect with alligator clips or copper tape.

Hey there, @Alyssa209299,

I had to look up MoonShotz Kids before I understood what you meant by this post. For a long moment, I thought you needed a 3V servo for folding origami.

This is the best 3V Hobby motor we have at the moment is:

It works at a range 1V-3V meaning it can easily be powered from a double AA Battery Pack and would work perfectly with some of MoonShotz Kids projects (I particularly like their washing machine project).

Thank you so much for the reply. I have these and use them for a range of things, however I am looking for smaller. So that the page isn’t bulked by the motor itself if that makes sense something in the range of the vibration plates.
