Aluminum Heatsink For Raspberry Pi 5, With Thermal Pads And Spring-Loaded Push Pins…
Read moreThis heatsink comes with three soft rubbery pads. I presume they are thermally conductive pads to make a thermal connection between the ICs and the bottom of the heatsink. Is this correct?
Hey John,
Those 3 pads are thermal pads for heat transfer, funnily enough, they can be all different colours. I am unsure if it’s in relation to thermal conductivity grading or if in this case, they felt pink matches their motif.
They can be placed on top of the necessary parts (Processor, RAM and PD chip are the recommended places) before the heatsink is installed just so the coverage of the thermal pads connects with as much surface area as possible.
Cheers,
Blayden
OK thanks Blayden.
