PiOLED + Waveshare POE hat?

Hi,

Does anyone know if these holes on the Waveshare Power over Ethernet HAT (D) (Pi 3B+/4B) can be used to solder pin headers in order to access most of the pins the hat covers? I want to use a PiOled with the hat attached via jumper cables, So I was thinking:

  1. 2x 5v from hat holes
  2. SDA from hat hole
  3. 3.3v from pin 17
  4. Pin 5, Pin 6 - direct connection to Pi GPIO

Circled the holes above, I couldn’t find any info about them on waveshare wiki. I feel like this should work, does anyone know?

In the end I decided to just use a HDMI display since its less effort and bigger than 1cm … still interested to see what the go is with those holes tho if anyone knows

Hey there, @Geoff72654, the HDMI screen is probably for the best, it is certainly the easier option of the two.

However, I was curious so I grabbed one of these off the shelf to have a look at. Based on the tracers leading from the GPIO female inputs, this would allow you to break out the 5V, Gnd, SDA, and SCL so you should theoretically be able to any I2C device from these headers.
