For product CE07897, can you advise what the 2x2 header is used for that connects to the pins directly behind ethernet port of a Pi 4B+?
Is it just used for to support the HAT or does it provide some form of functionality to the HAT or back to the Pi?

That’s actually the POE header! I couldnt find much in the way of documentation but that’s definitely needed to pass power through to the Pi, there’s a mention of the 2x2 here: Introducing the PoE HAT - available now! - Raspberry Pi
