After reading through lots of tutorials on this website, I finally realised that my battery is actually this 1100mAh battery, so would I be correct in thinking that I could charge this battery at 1A no problem with the Wemos D1 Mini Battery Shield?
Yes, that’s probably fine. Just keep in mind that if your chip is a TP5400, but the two charge resistors are both 680 ohm (labelled 681 for 68 x 101), then the 0.5A open jumper setting will actually be about a 0.8A setting (fine for your 1100mAh battery).
You should never solder that jumper as the higher current setting is beyond the absolute max rating of the TP5400.
