Raspberry Pi 4 2GB no green

Hey guys (and girls)

I just got a Raspberry Pi 4 2GB from Core electronics, and no matter what I do, I do not at any stage get a green light, I have the red power light (it is powered by a 2.4 amp power supply, and I follow guides to the letter and nothing. I have even tried re loading the bootloader etc but still only a red led.

Can anyone help or is it faulty and need to be exchanged?

Thanks in advance

Hey Reece,

If you believe your part is faulty please send through an email to support@coreelectronics.com.au and a member of the support team will be able to lead you through the process required for your part. As for some advice in troubleshooting can I please confirm the OS that has been flashed to the SD card in the Pi? Also what’s the capacity of the card that’s being used?

All the best with it!

I have ordered an official power supply from you guys, so i will try that first.

I am unsure about the OS, I am just walking through the steps on the Octoprint website.

The card is a 32gb Sandisk Micro

Hi @Reece114406,

I’m on the same page as @Wayne119671, perhaps try using the official Raspbian OS first, this way you remove all the other variables from the setup.

Also, it’s best to use something such as BalenaEtcher as it will format the card, write the image, and then verify everything afterward.

I’m curious to hear how you get on with it
