Is this Rpi4 the revised USB-C version or the original version? https://core-electronics.com.au/raspberry-pi-4-model-b-2gb.html

From the Key Features section: “USB-C for input power, supporting 5.1V 3A operation”

@Takeshi90649

The recently released revision 1.2 board fixes the USB C power problems. The product description now states:

All of our boards are version 1.2+ (which include the fix for USB-C power).

The images of the underside of the board haven’t been updated though, so don’t go by that. (If you know what to look for )

The rpi4 1GB is 59.00 and on your website it displays “NOTE - replaced by the 2GB model. Same price, twice the RAM.” But when you view the rpi 2GB it jumps to 74.50. This is not the same price as the 1GB model.

Hi Clint,

Times have changed since back then, I’ve updated the 1GB page to remove the confusion. USD priced product has taken a hit recently, the last stock we purchased was when AUD:USD was at 0.55c, and on top of that in Australia, products such as this attract an ewaste premium by Dept of Home Affairs.

While there are signs of hope for the AUD:USD, there’s also a whole lot of uncertainty. I’ve noticed the same reverberations for electronics at bigger businessnes such as Officeworks and PC Case Gear. Hard times all round with Covid-19 in the mix.

Interestingly, we’ve been able to maintain a lower price for the 3B+ as that manufacturing supply chain hasn’t updated prices. That could change at any time though.

AUD:USD exchange has improved greatly during last couple of weeks. Can we expect updates to pricing for 2gb and 4gb models anytime soon?

thanks
Alex

Hi Alex,

We’re currently in the process of updating the prices and availability of stock on the site according to the current situation. There should be further updates either on the site or notifications being sent out soon. If there’s anything else that we can do for you please let me know.

Have a great day!

Hi guys, the Rpi 4 2gb is showing in stock but when I try to add to my cart says that it’s not available. Do you have them available to purchase?

Yeah, I need one too, cant believe that some places are selling them for almost $400.
I thought that the majority of this shortage was coming to an end.

what three accessories are essential to buy with the raspberry pi? I have a student asking me to buy one but don’t know what else he needs…

Have a look at the related products listing for “Raspberry Pi 4 NUC Bundle (2GB)”. Everything included with that kit, possibly excluding the case, is the minimum to get started with a pi.
