I recently bought the OctoPi Kit for 3D Printing . It was quick and easy to get setup. Octopi was running well, the camera was working well I was able to capture snapshots/timelapses… However after turning everything back on the following day the Pi Camera has stopped working.
I’ve checked the stream URL and Snapshot RL via Octoprint. Stream Url set to - /webcam/?action=stream Snapshot Url set to http://localhost:8080/?action=snapshot. The test for both url’s fail however.
I’ve checked that the camera is active via raspi-config, checked settings via octopi.txt, checked webcamd.log , checked Lsubd
I’ve also tried re-seating the ribbon cables on both ends, replacing the ribbon cable, even reseating the surface mounted connector on the front of the camera.
It’s a shame that the camera was up and running however after turning it on the next day it seems the Pi camera 2.1 is dead. I understand these cameras are unusually sensitive and have a high failure rate. Is it possible my camera has bit the dust over night? Any suggestions of any other tests, or how to go about warranty support to replace the camera?
