For the Adafruit Raspberry Pi Camera Board Case with 1/4 Tripod Mount
Can it hold the camera board if I don’t want to use the front plastic face of the container?

Welcome to the forums!
As I understand it, the camera module is held in place by being sandwiched between the 2 acrylic pieces, with the raised acrylic mounting bits holding it in place so there’s no movement from side to side. So I doubt that it would hold very well if the top clear piece is not used.
