As Tony mentioned, it will work but your mileage may vary. I would say it will be dependant on the type of Pi that you have e.g A Pi Zero W isn’t going to have the same processing power as a Pi5.
I’ve set up a Kodi Pi on a Pi4 for one of my mates that has been running fine for the last few months without any reported issues, granted this setup doesn’t use the TV hat.
