Sega dreamcast pc mode w/ adruino or similar

hi,i am wanting to make an internet adapter for sega dreamcast game console that has windows ,10 and 11 OR SIMILAR fast ethernet and wifi (todays standard),browsing with google,file explorer,video editing,ebay shopping etc. and 8 usb ports,turning the dreamcast into a modern pc,what parts would ineed,please

It must connect up so when the segaDC is powered on there are 2 options,pc mode and dreamcast mode (self explanitory)

Hi Justin,

It kind of sounds like you want to dual boot a PC or Raspberry Pi, NOOBS can handle the OS switching if you need 2 installed on a Pi or you could opt for 2 microSD cards.

I’d also check out Retro Pi, you’re able to run a range of games for different consoles.

can it use the dreamcasts power button and then when powering on an option on screen says console mode or pc (rpi) mode pi mode is for anything windows and dreamcast mode is for consoles classic gaming?

Hi Justin,

I’m not certain, I havent used NOOBS in a long while now but from memory you hold down some button when booting to select a different operating system.
If you already have a working Dreamcast could you just use a HDMI switch to swap between the HDMI inputs?
