Your linked IC is uni directional. That is only 1 way.
The level shifter that is the subject of this thread and the IC on board this device is bi directional. That is both directions.
I think you should clarify before someone gets into strife.

That logic level shifter has a slightly different function than the original module but I see the effort and appreciate your input Liam.
Your linked IC is uni directional compared to the original bi-directional logic shifter (an easy oversight to make).
The addition replies to your post should be enough to clarify this difference so please don’t worry about this minor error.
Remember you are loved, appreciated and the world (inclusive of this forum) are better off with you in it
