Will a 3.5" IPS or TFT LCD display that has been stored unused for years develop problems such as loss of brightness, contrast, or color? degrade lcd and leds?

Yes. Possible because these components have a shelf life.

Anything that’s just sitting there accumulating dust as the potential to degrade. These devices are designed to be used, with all the stresses that that requires. Without those conditions, they will slowly degrade.
That being said, I have no idea how long that would take and I have been surprised at how well some screens have held up after years sitting in a drawer,
is fragile lcd display degrade after years?

Sorry, @nortman88312746, I’m not quite sure I understand what you mean. As myself and love said before, lcd displays usually degrade over time.
