SO I want to build a raspberry Pi to take night star trail pictures and maybe track or look for meteors…
Would like an 8mb camera - so v2 looks ok… But I need a wide angle lens…

It doesn’t say, and without having a v1 camera around - I am not sure if physically they are the same dimensions… I know I need to remove the standard lens etc… found tools to 3d print to help - but for the life of me nowhere can I find if this is compatible with both v1 and v2 cameras or only 1…
Next question is - to take night pictures of stars… standard camera or NOIR camera… I would have thought No IR would be a good idea - but finding conflicting references on this, with most saying not to use NOIR for star trails…
Help me decide to buy the right stuff first time please - lol !
