Which small screen/display can I use if I am already using the raspberry pi 4 GPIO header for a piicodev adaptor. I just want something small ($50-$80) to set up a simple weather display, preferably touch sensitive to allow flexibility for future projects. It’s not clear to me which displays can be connected via the mini HDMi or ribbon cable. Do you have any recommendations on what might be suitable.

Hi Alison,

Hmmm, that’s a bit of a tricky one, as most small, affordable screens use the SPI connection on the 40-pin header that’s taken up by the PiicoDev board, you could still use them, but you’d have to hand-wire it into the pins broken out on the PiicoDev adapter.

Another option, as you suggested, is to use a DSI screen, here’s the most affordable and compact one to my knowledge:
