Connecting sensors to a Raspberry Pi Zero

Hello, I have a Gravity HX711 Weight Sensor and WaveShape I2C 16x02 LCD Display that I wish to connect to a Raspberry Pi Zero via a PiicoDev Adapter. I have found that the cables supplied with the weight sensor and LCD display do not fit the sockets in the PiicoDev Adapter. However I notice that the pin outs are the same {GND, 3.3V, SDA, SCL}, so I’m wondering if I can join a PiicoDev Cable to the cable supplied with the weight sensor by joining the four wires. Specifically, I am thinking of snipping a PiicoDev Cable in half and soldering the 4 wires onto the 4 wires of the cable that came with the weight sensor? (and same for the LCD display). Is this the best approach? I assume that pin-outs the four sockets on the PiicoDev Adapter are identical?
I appreciate any thoughts or advice, Phil

Hi @Phil289055

Welcome to the forum!

Rather than cutting up a cable you could look at using 4-pin JST PH to JST SH Cable - STEMMA to QT / Qwiic - 200mm long | Buy in Australia | ADA4424 | Adafruit | Core Electronics to adapt between both the LCD and also the Weight sensor. You will have to swap some pins over on the larger JST-PH side but this is easily done by gently prying up the plastic retaining clips on the connector and pulling the cable back.

Thanks Dan, that is a neat solution, thank you… better than soldering.
